The Break- s/t (2001)

The Break were a punk rock band from the turn of the century. These dudes really carried the Big Drill Car/All/Doughboys torch like no other band did around this time period.

This album came out on Doghouse Records in 2001. Unfortunately this would be their last significant release as their follow up on Ferret a few years later really was a major dud. Im not sure what these guys are up to these days. Anyone know?

Polvo- In Prism (2009)

Polvo was a seminal indie/quirky rock band who released a few awesome albums in the early- mid 90's. I've always really dug their sound which I tag somewhere in between Guided By Voices, Crazy Horse, and an acid trip.

Anyways, I guess they reunited recently for a few shows and decided to record a new album. Its pretty wild how a band can take over a decade off and still come back in top form like they never stopped jamming together

Here is the new album

Far- Water and Solutions (1998)

This album is without a doubt the best album Jonah Matranga has ever been a part of making. You may say "what about onelinedrawing"......or "what about new end original".......I say.....what about em?

This album trumps em all by far..no pun intended

Samiam- Whatevers Got You Down (2006)

Ok...Samiam. My all time, hands down, through thick and thin, favorite band. These guys have been buddies that have hung out with me as I've stomped through high school, the adult crash, the failed relationships, the near death experiences, drug addictions, and now....nearing the end of my 20's.

Holy fuck. Samiam, I love you.
